On Sunday, August 7 at 2 PM, pianist Jacquelyn Helin will play on the Chamber Music in Abiquiu Series with members of La Catrina Quartet. Repertoire includes Mozart's Piano Quartet in G Minor and Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat Major as well as Gabriela Lena Frank’s Leyandas: An Andean Walkabout. This concert is SOLD OUT.
On Friday, August 12, Saturday, August 13 at 8 PM and Sunday, August 14 at 2 PM, Jacquelyn Helin will play with the Ballet Pro Musica at the Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque. Billed as “See the Music, Hear the Dance,” this event pairs live chamber music with ballet, specifically with principal dancers of the Mexico City Ballet. The program, called “Faces of Love,” features Jacquelyn Helin playing the Schumann Piano Quintet with La Catrina Quartet and, with pianist Debra Ayers, Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring in the two-piano version.
